Elio, your work is STUNNING!
Thanks for leaving a kind comment on my blog. I appreciate the encouragement from someone who is quite a bit more skilled than I.
Funny you mentioned the debate about painting in full sun. I’ve been wondering about that myself. I’ve ignored that rule too just because sometimes the scene I want to paint requires me to be work in full sun.
I’m curious about your easel. Did you make it yourself or is it a modified easel from the store? Mine is similar.

Great explorative colour in all of these. There is something unpredictable and yet very distinct about your colour sense.. really a joy to see what you post next. Really like the 4 still lifes on the left side of the page. You go!!
cheers, Michael

Elio,
Your work is wonderful. Russian Impressionism is my passion. These paintings are so vibrant, the strokes so strong and sure. Wow!
I would love to take one of your workshops - but Texas is pretty far away. Do you ever come this way?

Elio,
Thanks for bringing the still life with bananas to class today - the real painting just blows the image on this blog away! The color is a bit less intense, more subtle and there is just so much more variation to see when the actual painting is in front of your face … a real treat!
