Sorry I had to take a short break from painting to design some promotional material. After a layoff, I usually use the next couple of days to find my rhythm. Yesterday, I set up a still life and my goal was to just throw paint at the canvas. Basically, cover as much board as possible. Here are the five still lifes I painted while outside yesterday. You can see how my colors started to get richer and cleaner as I found my rhythm. I used part of the day today to clean up a few things in the paintings. The paintings are pretty loose but they read pretty well from a distance.
