Putting passion and emotion into a painting is far more important then just making a copy of your subject. Each time I paint my goal is to capture the particular mood of the moment and to express myself in a bold and colorful way and while capturing the beauty and spontaneity of nature.
If you have similar goals and want to learn to fill your canvases with color and boldness then this class may be for you.
My goal as an instructor is to give my students the foundation necessary to express themselves .
Each class will start with a short demonstration, followed by individual instruction at each student’s easel. For a material list click here.
Note: Although the class ends at 2:00, on most days I will remain to paint. Students are welcome to stay and paint or watch. (Don’t forget a comfortable chair if you choose to remain and watch)All levels of experience are welcome. Complete the registration form and choose one of the payment options below.
What if it rains?

Thank you, Elio.
The painting lesson today was great fun and I’m eager to try it at home before we’re back together next week. Do you have anything to recommend about the lighting required paint indoors?
Thanks.

Elio,
I REALLY liked seeing you demo the tighter sketching in process that you did today (Thursday 7th) for mapping out the painting! That was just super helpful! Please do this more often at class … like every time!
Also, if you could bring a finished painting from time to time again - Thanks! G

Elio,
Thanks for bringing some of your earlier work to class today and sharing some of those experiences. It’s inspiring and motivating! G
